Who we are, what we do, and why we do it.
Dear tea friend,
Actually, I don’t take tours. I’m rather headstrong and don’t like being told what to do very well. When I want to see something, I stop. When I get bored with someplace, I leave. I do not play follow the leader very well through thick throngs of other tourists. So travel2tea is not going to be your usual tour company experience. You will travel the way I would want to travel.
However, I am very involved with tea. Some of my absolute favorite experiences have been while traveling on buying trips to Asia. For instance, when I toured the production facility in Kai Hua, Zhejiang, China and had my photo take with the production manager (above.) My experiences have been so good, in fact, that I want you to come along and share them.
Come with me to see China’s ancient tea culture and learn tea “from the ground up.” Come learn to pick tea while walking undulating rows of tea bushes as they follow the terrain, smell the aroma of tons of tea being processed, and taste the subtle differences in a dozen cups of the freshest green teas, all in a row. Want to sample “the burgundy of teas”? You will do so while touring the oldest black tea factory in China.
Or, join me in Sri Lanka, the amazing island from which we get the word “serendipity.” From a palm tree studded seaside resort (where you will remove the effects of your jet lag while developing your tea palate) to the misty colonial era tea estates high up in the central mountains, you will have a trip that pampers you and lets you expand your understanding of the world’s most popular beverage.
But what about shopping in Hong Kong, climbing the Great Wall, or hunting for one of the dozens of gem stones found in Sri Lanka? We will help arrange all your other tourist travel as post-tea extension trips. You may choose to join others or create a custom itinerary. It is truly up to you. Prices vary based upon your choices.
So, call us today to begin exploring how you can have one of the most memorable adventures of your life.
Best Regards,
Brad Wolken
